Extract icons from a website

Enter a public homepage or deployed app URL. We resolve relative paths, verify the files exist, and rank the best artwork first.

Paste a public domain to see every favicon and app-icon candidate the page exposes.

We will open the generator with your selected favicon pre-loaded as the base image.

Resolve the real URLs

Relative hrefs become absolute file URLs, including icons served from a CDN or nested asset path.

Verify each candidate

Broken links and non-image responses are filtered before the candidates are shown.

Keep or rebuild

Open the original asset, or send the best source directly into the complete icon generator.

Favicon extraction questions

How do I download a favicon from a website?

Paste the website URL into the extractor. It reads the page's icon links, Apple touch icons, Open Graph image, and root favicon.ico, then shows the real resolved files. Select one and open the original asset to save it.

Why does a website have several favicons?

Browsers, iPhones, Android launchers, PWAs, and search engines use different sizes and declarations. A well-configured site intentionally serves several files from the same artwork.

Can I turn an extracted icon into a complete set?

Yes. Select the best, highest-resolution result and send it to the generator. It will create favicon.ico, PNG sizes, Apple touch icons, PWA icons, and manifest.json.
