One source, every icon surface
Safari does not simply reuse the tiny browser favicon when someone saves a site to their Home Screen. It looks for a square PNG declared with rel=apple-touch-icon. This generator creates that file and the surrounding icon set from the same source artwork, so the saved app and browser tab stay visually consistent.

How to get a production-ready result
1Use a square source
Upload a PNG, SVG, WebP, JPEG, or existing icon. A 512×512 or larger source gives every output enough detail.
2Check the safe area
Keep the mark away from the outer edge. iOS applies rounded corners itself, so do not bake another rounded mask into the artwork.
3Download and install
The kit includes apple-touch PNGs, favicon.ico, browser PNGs, Android/PWA icons, manifest.json, and the exact head markup.
Common questions
What size should an apple-touch-icon be?
Use a 180×180 PNG for current iPhones. A complete compatibility set can also include 167×167 for iPad Pro and older 152×152, 120×120, and 76×76 sizes.
Can an apple-touch-icon be SVG?
Use PNG. Safari's Home Screen icon support expects a raster Apple touch icon even if your browser favicon is an SVG.
Should I round the corners myself?
No. Supply square artwork with comfortable padding. iOS applies its own corner mask and visual treatment.
